How to write effective emails that turn reader into backers
Recently we launched email marketing software Krailer, much before while surveying about the possibilities we gathered emails of crowdfunding campaign professionals as well as common people who raised funds and ran at least one project on kickstarter, indiegogo, gofundme or other crowdfunding platform, we have been asked how to write crowdfunding related emails or where they can find sample email contents which can impress the potential backers.

Almost 35 out 100 emails are going to respond by donating to your crowdfunding campaign, So your first email to the everyone who can turn into potential backer, the first email must be effective as it could be turning point of your campaign.
You must cover the following in the First Email pitch:
- About You: Introduce yourself, let the reader know about you personally.
- The Cause: Tell the story, along with cause why you are turning towards a crowdfunding campaign.
- Aspiration: What you are trying to achieve. Be specific about the target, funding goal and expanses post campaign.
- The Timeline: Mention how much time you need to fulfill the requirement.
- Why funds are important: Show your passion, explain the impact of your campaign on everyone.
- Keep it short as much as possible.
Your email content must be very clear in text, the reader must understand who are you and why are you trying to raise funds, explain the cause. Edit the content as much as you can to keep it shortest as people don’t have much time to read long emails. The Email subject must be short and explaining. Use different kind of fonts, use properly. Give some visual graphics to make it attractive.
Make sure, people will love the email content, because they will love, they will donate or back your crowdfunding campaign. Stay positive!
